Western Minnesota Fishing Guide – Where We Spend Our Time
West Central Minnesota offers plenty of great fishing, and Fin-Hunters has a favorite spot, two, or three… In other words, if you need a Western Minnesota fishing guide; call us. There is trophy potential for muskies, abundant walleyes, world class bass fishing, northern pike, crappies, and more bluegills than you could count. We are seeing an increase in large muskies and your odds of catching a fish of a lifetime may be better than you think? I’m happy to share the boat with you and offer western MN as a hub for some great fishing! What’s unique are the family friendly amenities and close proximity. There are resorts, great hotels, shopping, nice restaurants, the list goes on and on. Like I said, its a destination the whole family will enjoy. Focusing on Ottertail and Becker counties of MN, from Detroit Lakes to Fergus Falls, it is one of Minnesota’s most outstanding fishing destinations. Walleye, northern pike, smallmouth and largemouth bass, bluegill and crappie make up the majority of the catch. Over 1,000 lakes make it easy for anglers to leave with a good number of fish every time they visit west central MN. Popular waters Fin-Hunters know well are Big Cormorant, Lake Ida, Pelican Lake, Lake Lida, Dead Lake, Ottertail Lake, and many more. Ottertail Lake(13,725 acres) has outstanding natural walleye reproduction, it is the largest water in Ottertail County. The entire month of May, June, and well into July is a very popular time for open water angling. September and early October is a great time to chase walleyes and one of my personal favorites are the abundant largemouth bass! Bass set up on weed edges and steep breaks and catching 20-50 fish consistently is possible. Crappies, big bluegills, walleyes, and large northern pike become much more predictable in the fall making this a great time for fishing West Central MN. So much water, family fun, call Fin-Hunters Western Minnesota Fishing Guide Service to help you enjoy the fun!
